The Desert Eagle is a handgun that appears in Spec Ops: The Line. It is one of the most powerful handguns in the game, along with the .44 Magnum.

The Desert Eagle has very few appearances in the campaign. It is the starting weapon for Chapter 6 and Chapter 13, though it has only five rounds in Chapter 6. In later chapters such as Chapter 13 and Chapter 14, Zulu Squad soldiers will have Desert Eagles as secondary weapons. It will also appear as a secondary weapon during the epilogue.

Multiplayer[]

It is unlocked at level 35.

Trivia[]

  • In real life, the Desert Eagle is considered to be impractical for combat by military soldiers, but has been featured in numerous films and video games (e.g. Call of Duty) and as a favored weapon by various action heroes. As such, Walker's use of the weapon can be seen as a reflection of both his desire to be a glorious hero and his increasingly violent behavior later on in the story.
  • How Walker managed to have one of these at the beginnings of Chapters 6 and 13 is unknown. It may be a never-seen side weapon he always has.
  • A refugee can be seen executing an Alpha Patrol soldier at the end of Chapter 1. However, it's unknown if the Desert Eagle they had used was either his, if he took it off Garry, or the soldier's they were executing.
  • Judging by the fact that this Desert Eagle has a seven-round magazine, it is the .50 AE (Action Express) model.
